Lee Richardson – Lee has over 15 years of experience as a head basketball coach at various levels. He has successfully led several rebuilding efforts, taking a 2-win Lesterville team to 15 wins and two tournament championships just two years later. Most recently he spent two years at Crystal City, as the 2019-2020 Hornets made a 10-4 charge down the stretch on their run to a district championship appearance.
Lee has helped over 50 players reach their goal of becoming college athletes. Coach Richardson was also named the 2009 Missouri Soccer Coach of the Year. He holds a M.A.-Education (Coaching) from Greenville University and a B.A.-History from the University of Maryland. Lee is a seven-year veteran of the U.S. Army. He lives in Crystal City with his wife Amy, a school nurse. Daughter Katie is a teacher and former collegiate golfer, married to Trent; they are the parents of Lee and Amy’s first grandchild, Lincoln, born in 2019; daughter Hannah received Academic All-State basketball honors in high school and is currently a college accounting major; son Drew received Academic-All State honors and now plays college basketball while studying to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Coach Richardson retired after the 2020 season to take care of health issues and spend more time with family but plans to stay connected with the game in the future. He greatly enjoys helping the Live Stream STL family provide coverage to our area’s athletes.
